Back to school?
Pets can have a really hard time as children grow up. It’s great for a pet and a child to grow up together, but easy to forget the pet many times gets left behind and neglected.
So please remember as parents, you are still responsible for the pets mental and physical stimulation.
Our border collie claims our sons room as his own. I have left our sons sheets and blanket unwashed so our dog still can smell his scent. It keeps him calm and relaxed to be able to lay on those blankets and his bed when he has gone. We make sure we have regular walks and 2-3 times of play with him to keep his anxiety and depression at bay without using medications.
