How do I keep my kitty cool?
We worry a lot about our dogs during the summer heat, but what about kitty? Most of us have air conditioning in our homes, so keeping kitty cool is a mute point for those homes, but there are still many homes without and cats who live outdoors. Here a few tips.
- Put ice cubes in their water bowl. This will help the water stay fresh and cool longer.
- Freeze a partial bottle of water overnight and wrap a towel around it and put in kitty’s bed.
- A simple box fan can provide extra comfort and air flow if your kitty is in a garage.
- Pet your cat with a cool wet washcloth. This can enhance natural cooling.
