Pre-Thanksgiving tips

Pre-Thanksgiving tips

If you are like many families, you may be starting your Thanksgiving meals early.  Dr. Flanders family has their first today!  Please keep the usual tips in mind:

  • Make sure family members understand, NO BONES for the pets.  These are choking hazards.  Even if it seems safe, bone fragments can flake off and get stuck in the throat, stomach or intestines.
  • Make sure everyone knows the foods that are toxic to dogs:  onions, grapes, sugar free foods
  • Also think about a safe place for pets to go when they feel overstimulated.  Kennel or your bedroom are always good places.
  • You may want to think about a new toy or specific treats that are okay for family to give to your pets.
