The upcoming week is National Poison Prevention Week.

Last week we highlighted chocolate poisoning. This next week we will have some posts about toxins and poisons for your pets and tips to prevent and what to do if they still get into these poisons and toxins.

Toxins and poisons are everywhere. Some household pet toxins include: Bleach, Drain, Toilet Cleaner, Dishwasher Detergent, Teflon Skillets, Potpourri, Pinesol, Moth Balls, Essential Oils, Antifreeze, Batteries, Fabric Softener, Solvents, Paint and Laquers.

So as you can see, there are numerous toxic substances that your pet may consume because they have a much keener sense of smell than us. These things can be inviting to your pets.
