Watch out for the “wild mushrooms”

Watch out for the “wild mushrooms”

Since so far our Fall or “autumn” has been as wet as our spring was, it is a good time to refresh you to watch your yard for what I call “toadstools” or wild mushrooms.  I found 5-6 in my yard yesterday with all the rain we had this past weekend.

My dogs do not have interest in these, but that doesn’t mean your dog wouldn’t want a bite.  We all know that each pet is different even if they are siblings.  Some dogs will eat anything that hits the floor and others won’t touch anything that hits the floor.  If your dog is one to eat anything, take the time to remove these from the yard.

If you think your pet has eaten one of these, contact ASCPA Poison control center for help if we are not open.
