Jerry Flanders, DVM

Dr. Flanders has been an avid exhibitor and producer of livestock for over 20 years.  He was a ten year 4-H member of Hamilton County.  Upon graduating from high school, he attended Purdue University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences in 1996.  He went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.  Along with managing VIP Animal Care, Dr. Flanders also manages his own flock of club lambs and Boer goats.

Cindy Overdorf – Veterinary Assistant and Inventory Manager

Cindy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Purdue University and has been working in the veterinary field with both large and small animals for over 20 years. She has been working with Dr. Flanders since 2005. Cindy also owns and operates ABC Herefords.

Suzanne Flanders – Veterinary Assistant/Office Manager

Suzanne has been with the clinic since February 2011 and is Dr. Flanders sister-in-law.  She holds a Masters of Science in the field of nutrition from Ball State University and manages the day to day operations of the clinic as well as any assisting needed.

Jennifer Scurlock:  Veterinary Assistant  /Assistant Manager

Jennifer has been with the clinic since September 2013.  Jennifer enjoys helping with the day to day operations of the clinic as well as assisting in treatment of pets.  She loves the dental aspect of pet care, performing most of our dental cleanings with Dr. Flanders

Mark Liddy – Registered Veterinary Technician

Mark holds an associate of Applied Science Degree from the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College. Mark has primarily worked with large animals and brings a knowledge of horses and cattle to our practice. He is enjoying expanding his knowledge to the small animal field. 

Laura Russell – Front Office

Laura joined VIP in December 2015 to help out up front with clients and pets.  Laura and her family own and operate Russell Farms which has an enormous Pumpkin Patch, petting zoo and hosts most of the Hamilton County schools for field trips.  She and her family have been raising boar goats for many years and she bring a vast knowledge to our clients with goats.

Relief Veterinarians:  Dr. Julie St. Peters (Monday afternoons), Dr. Jessica DeCook (Tuesday & Thursday morning), Dr. Carrie Byerly (Friday mornings)
