Dr. Jerry Flanders has been an avid exhibitor and producer of livestock for all his life here in Hamilton County. Dr. Flanders grew up on his family’s farm along with competing in 4-H as a 10 year member. Dr. Flanders also enjoyed showing at State Fairs and National Shows including The North American International Livestock Exposition where he won Grand Champion Junior Market Wether in 1995.
Upon graduating from Hamilton Heights in 1992, he attended Purdue University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences in 1996. He went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2000. After practicing medicine at Avon Veterinary Clinic and Noblesville Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Flanders decided to open his own small and large animal practice in Noblesville known as VIP Animal Care in 2003.
Dr. Flanders practice was formerly at 2355 East Pleasant Street on the North End of Tractor Supply where he practiced for 20 years. In May of 2023 he moved VIP Animal Care to a bigger and better brand new clinic down the road at 10720 Pleasant Street to better serve his clients.
Along with owning his own veterinary practice, Dr. Flanders also manages 300 head of regular Shropshire and Hampshire sheep that he exhibits and sells. Dr. Flanders enjoys showing at open shows, some including Indiana and Ohio State Fairs and NAILE.
